DAY 1: CUSCO: ARRIVAL – CITY TOUR & NEARBY RUINS Arrival in Cusco, where you will be met at the airport and transferred to your selected hotel. 12:30h. City tour of the Imperial City of Cusco. The tour includes a visit to the Main Square (Plaza de Armas), the Cathedral, and Koricancha, or the "Temple of the Sun," which still preserves walls that were once covered in gold during the Inca period. The excursion then continues to Sacsayhuaman, one of the most remarkable archaeological sites in the world, followed by visits to the amphitheater of Qenqo and the water fountains of Tambomachay. You will also enjoy a panoramic view of the Red Fortress of Puca Pucara. Overnight in Cusco. DAY 2: CUSCO – FULL DAY SACRED VALLEY OF THE INCAS – OVERNIGHT | INC Breakfast, Lunch 07:30h. This day we will visit the town of Pisac, where you will explore the Pisac Archaeological Complex, an impressive citadel built on a mountaintop offering spectacular views of the vastness of the valley. You will observe its agricultural terraces, palaces, living quarters, residences, fountains, and more. Lunch will be served at a tourist-class restaurant in the area. After lunch, the tour will continue to the military fortress of Ollantaytambo, where you will visit the Temple of the Sun (formed by six enormous granite monoliths) as well as the most important surrounding structures. DAY 3: VALLEY – FULL DAY MACHU PICCHU CITADEL – RETURN TO CUSCO | INC Breakfast, Lunch In the morning, transfer to the train station to begin the journey to the Machu Picchu Citadel, one of the Seven Wonders of the World. We will start with a tourist bus ride, which will take approximately 30 minutes to reach the Machu Picchu Citadel. Upon arrival, you will enjoy a guided tour of approximately 2 hours through this impressive archaeological site. At the end of the tour, you will have time to descend to the town of Aguas Calientes, where you will enjoy a delicious three-course lunch at Café Inkaterra. At the scheduled time, we will board the train back to the Cusco train station. Upon arrival at the Cusco train station, you will be met and transferred to your corresponding hotel in Cusco. Overnight in Cusco. DAY 4: CUSCO – DEPARTURE | INC Breakfast At coordinated time, transfer to the airport of Arequipa to board your flight back to Lima.

Transfer by road to the pier and begin your Amazon adventure with a 45-minute boat ride along the Madre de Dios River that splices through the rainforest. Upon arrival, you will be welcomed with a short briefing where our à la carte excursions will be presented, allowing you to design your itinerary according to your interests. You can accompany them early. This morning visit Lake Sandoval, a shimmering body of water found within the Tambopata National Reserve. Board a carved wooden canoe and paddle calmly through the water channels that feed the lake, then navigate it flanked by beautiful palm trees. This serene lake is inhabited by several species of birds, the threatened river wolf, howler monkeys, macaws, anacondas, turtles, and black caimans. among other animals. Return to lnkaterra Reserva Amazonica in time for lunch. In the afternoon, we recommend climbing the exciting Canopy Walkway and hiking the Anaconda Walk. The lnkaterra Canopy Walkway is a safe and sophisticated system of ecologically constructed suspension bridges, connected by eight platforms and two panoramic observation towers. This is an unforgettable opportunity to observe the Amazon forest from the treetops and understand its dimension. Ascend the first tower 124 feet (38 meters) above the ground, with your senses alert in search of toucans, woodpeckers, swallowers, monkeys, and the stealthy three-toed sloth. On your descent, take a 30-minute hike along the Anaconda Walk: a 200-meter (656-foot) long elevated wooden platform built over a forest flooded with aguajales. DAY 3: INKATERRA RESERVA AMAZONICA | INC Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner 25-minute journey by boat to Gamitana Farm and Creek to unearth more of the wonders of the rainforest. The Amazon is an almost endless source of exotic fruits and vegetables, many with healing properties that support local communities living in the remote jungle. At Gamitana model farm, engulfed by the sounds and scents of the Amazon, you will get to see how a variety of produce is grown by local farmers and sample some seasonal forest fruits. Afterwards follow a dense jungle trail under the canopy to reach Gamitana Creek. Return to Inkaterra Reserva Amazonica for lunch. Head 35-minute upriver to Inkaterra’s sister lodge Hacienda Concepcion, built on an old cocoa and rubber plantation. This site formerly functioned as a medical centre, set up by Catholic missionaries in the 1950s, as well as a centre for ecological research. With over 200 different plants species found here, see why the rainforest is often considered the world’s largest pharmacy and learn about their uses and benefits up-close. Enjoy your first taste of Amazonian cuisine as you cruise along the river, leaving the city behind and entering the heart of the private communal reserve of the Ese Eja de Infierno Native Community. Upon reaching the riverbank, you will climb a staircase whose length varies according to the season, followed by a short hike through the vibrant Amazon rainforest. This tour marks the beginning of your stay, enveloping you in the majesty of the Amazon. Arrive at Posada Amazonas Lodge, a spacious eco-lodge with a bar, massage center, and buffet service, located within a private concession owned by the Native Community of Infierno. In addition, Posada Amazonas is now part of the Wired Amazon program that develops the Discovering New Species project, which you can be part of during your stay. In the afternoon, join your group for an excursion to the 40-meter Observation Tower. A secure staircase runs through the center, taking you to platforms above the treetops, offering spectacular views of the vast jungle and the Tambopata River below. Even if you're on vacation, it's highly recommended to get up early for a truly rewarding experience. Take a 30-minute boat ride followed by a 45-minute hike to Tres Chimbadas Lake. Paddle around the lake by catamaran in search of the resident family of nine giant river otters (seen by 60% of visitors) and other lake animals such as alligators, hoatzins, and horned screechers. Visit the Ñape Center, a community organization that produces medicines from forest plants. Walk along a trail that explains the medicinal and other uses of several selected plants. Before dinner, attend another lecture focused on different aspects of the Amazon's unique ecosystem. After dinner, enjoy an evening walk. While nocturnal mammals are usually active but rarely seen, it is easier to find frogs with unique shapes and sounds, which reveal their fascinating natural histories. Overnight at Posada Amazonas. DAY 3: PARROT CLAY LICK | INC Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner In the morning, visit the Parrot Clay Lick. From a hideout just 20 metres away, watch as dozens of parrots and parrots descend to ingest the clay from the riverbank, creating a spectacular display of colour and activity. Embark on a two-hour hike from Posada Amazonas, culminating in the shade of a majestic giant Ceiba tree. Learn about the natural history of the jungle and its main species. Visit a local farm in the community of Infierno, where the owner grows a wide variety of Amazonian products. We continue with Taquile Island of great scenic and cultural interest, whose inhabitants are mainly dedicated to agriculture, crafts and fishing, the locals continue to live according to their ancient Inca traditions and laws with customary manifestations, religious and folkloric rituals. The shuttle passes through the different hotels to start our trip to one of the deepest canyons in the world, taking the Yura road, bordering the snow-capped Chachani we head towards Pampa Cañahuas, (which belongs to the National Reserve of Aguada Blanca and Salinas) habitat of the beautiful South American camelids, the vicuñas; in the wetlands of Tocra we will be able to appreciate a variety of migratory birds, among which are the flamingos; we will pass through the crater of an extinct volcano (Chucura) and we will also stop at the viewpoint of the volcanoes, which is also the highest area of the road (4,910 m.a.s.l.) from where we will appreciate a large part of the western mountain range. 13:30 - 14:00h. On the way back we will stop in the towns of Maca and Yanque that have beautiful colonial churches, as well as at the viewpoints of Antahuilque, Huayrapunko and Peña Blanca, from where we can appreciate the beautiful landscape of the Colca with its impressive terraces. At the quarries, you will learn about the traditional techniques used by local stonemasons to extract and carve sillar, a craft that has been preserved for centuries. The tour continues to the Culebrillas Quarry, where we will take a 20-minute walk. Inside Culebrillas, we will experience a mysterious atmosphere and admire ancient petroglyphs that provide insight into the life and beliefs of early inhabitants, as this was considered a sacred site with distinctive pink stone walls. We will also see apachetas (traditional stone cairns), learn about their cultural symbolism, and have the opportunity to build our own apacheta. At the end of the tour, transfer back to your hotel.
